Ingredients
  

  • 1 tablespoon tahini
  • zest of ½ of an orange
  • 1 tablespoon orange juice
  • 12 ounces extra firm tofu
  • 1 tablespoon white wine vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon reduced sodium soy sauce
  • ½ teaspoon za'atar
  • ½ teaspoon fresh grated ginger
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper

Method
 

  1. Combine the tahini, orange zest, and orange juice marinade in a small bowl and stir.
  2. Slice the tofu into 6 rectangles. Place in a shallow bowl or on a plate and cover with the marinade. Flip over so the other side of the tofu absorbs the marinade. Place in the refrigerator for at least 15 minutes, or up to overnight.
  3. Preheat an electric grill to 400°F. Grill for 10 minutes on each side until lightly browned. If using a charcoal grill, grill over indirect heat and check in 2 minutes before turning.
