Light Orange Tangerine Mocktails

Thank you for sharing!

Try these light orange tangerine mocktails for an easy beverage perfect for brunch, a refreshing happy hour drink, or staying cool in the heat. A lot of mocktails taste too sweet, but not this one. Enjoy this alcohol-free drink with no added sugar, citrus flavor and the refreshing zing of ginger!

I started to make these when I was not feeling well. They remind me of what my grandparents would make us when we were sick when I was little: ginger ale mixed with orange juice.

But instead of sugary soda or artificially sweetened diet soda, this mocktail contains just a little natural sugar from fruit juice and about 20 calories each, depending on the brands that you choose. Support your wellness goals with this refreshing mocktail recipe.

More About Mocktails

Mocktails have been become super-popular lately as more people are avoiding or limiting alcohol. According to this article from The Food Institute, alcohol use is 20% less popular among Gen Z than Millennials, with many more bars and restaurants offering a variety of mocktails as well as alcohol-free beers and wines.

Alcohol is a risk factor for cancer (Dr. Vivek Murthy, former U.S. Surgeon General – CNN), so finding tasty and healthy ways to enjoy beverages without alcohol is a great idea!

In this Scientific Advisory Committee report for the Dietary Guidelines for 2025-2030, beverages account for 54% of added sugar in adults age 20 and over – another good reason to try this orange tangerine mocktail for refreshment with no added sugar.

What to Serve With These Mocktails?

While they are great with a meal, they them with a handful of roasted nuts, some tortillas chips, or pretzels – you’ll enjoy the contrast between the fruity mocktail and the salty snack.

Can These Be Made Ahead?

Due to the carbonation, I don’t recommend making these ahead of time or storing them.
